Hej igen!
I Anlong Veng var det svårt att kommunicera eftersom vi inte pratar Khmer (förutom "Hej", "Tack så mycket" och "Ja"). Men vi fick hjälp av en kille som jobbade som lärare så han kunde lite engelska. Han fixade så att vi kunde få skjuts till thailändska gränsen morgonen därpå för 2 dollar. Så bra, tyckte vi. Sedan gick vi tillbaka till vårat rum och spelade kort och funderade vi på vad vi skulle göra när vi kom över till Thailand. Det visade sig att det var 30 km till närmsta stad från gränsen, och att det inte går några bussar eller taxis.
In Anlong Veng, it was difficult to communicate because we don't speak Khmer (exept for "Hello," "Thank you" and "Yes"). But we got help from a guy who worked as a teacher so he knew a little English. He fixed so that we could get a ride to the Thai border the next morning for 2 dollars. Good. Then we went back to our room and played cards and we thought about what we would do when we got over to Thailand. It turned out that it was 30 km to the nearest town from the border, and that there was no buses or taxis.
Haha så här nöjd såg Alex ut när han tänkte sig att han skulle vinna! Men icke. Detta spel går nämligen ut på att få slut på kort först.

Efter mycket velande fram och tillbaka kom vi fram till att det är bättre att korsa gränsen vid Poipet, där vi korsade gränsen förra gången, när vi kom till Kambodja från Thailand. Så morgonen därpå när vi skulle ha åkt de 15 km till Thailand gick vi i stället och bokade biljetter tillbaka till Siem Reap för dagen därpå. Alex ville ha en dag att redigera film, så vi stannade en extra dag i Anlong Veng. Och det visade sig vara tur att vi inte reste den dagen för jag började må illa och det blev inte bättre på hela dagen. Fick gå på toa 20 gånger och det var synd om Alex som satt på andra sidan den tunna väggen, och sedan räcker det med information.
After a lot of thinking back and forth, we concluded that it is better to cross the border at Poipet, where we crossed the border last time, when we came to Cambodia from Thailand. So the next morning when we would have gone the 15km to the Thai border, we went instead and booked tickets back to Siem Reap for the next day. Alex wanted a day to edit the videos, so we stayed an extra day in Anlong Veng. And it turned out to be lucky that we didn't travel that day because I started to feel sick and it did not get better for the whole day. Had to go to the bathroom 20 times and I felt sorry for Alex who was on the other side of the thin wall, and then that's enough information.
Tack och lov så mådde jag prima igen morgonen efter och vi åt en god fruktfrukost.
Luckily I felt tiptop again the next morning and we had a nice fruity breakfast.
Nu är vi tillbaka i Siem Reap! Och vi har ändrat våra planer. Vi lämnar norra Thailand till en annan gång och åker i stället söderut till Koh Tao igen. Eftersom vi gjorde vår DiveMaster-kurs där så får vi dyka gratis med BigBlue för resten av våra liv! Så vi tänker att en vecka med gratis dykning och strand blir ett heltrevligt sätt att avsluta den här resan.
Så inatt kl. 02.00 ska vi ta en buss till Bangkok och därifrån tar vi ett tåg ner till Chumpon, och därifrån är det bara någon timmes buss till den 2 timmars långa färjan som tar oss till Koh Tao. Puh...får se när vi kommer fram. Vågar inte räkna ut hur många timmars resande vi har att se fram emot.
Now we're back in Siem Reap! And we've changed our plans. We leave northern Thailand for another time and instead we go south to Koh Tao again. Since we did our Divemaster course there we get to dive for free with BigBlue for the rest of our lives! So we think that a week of free diving and the beach would be a very nice way to end this trip.
So tonight at 02:00 we will take a bus to Bangkok and from there we take a train down to Chumphon, and from there it is just an hour bus to the 2-hour-long ferry that takes us to Koh Tao. Whew ...We'll see when we get there. I dare not figure out how many hours of traveling we have to look forward to.
Just nu sitter vi på Navy Khmer-restaurangen igen, och Alex har mammakatten i famnen....

...och de tre kattungarna har installerat sig under vårt bord.
